H.E. Zaake W. Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the United Arab
Emirates on Tuesday 5 th September 2023 met with H.E. Dr. Ali Hussain Makki,
Executive Director of the Logistics & Trade Facilitation Sector of the Abu Dhabi
Department of Economic Development at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic
Development in Abu Dhabi.

The two discussed issues of mutual interest to further cooperation between Uganda
and the United Arab Emirates in the areas of trade and investment across sectors of
agriculture, infrastructure, and technology among others.

The deliberations also centred on the upcoming Uganda - UAE Business Forum
which is scheduled to take place from 10 - 13 October 2023 in Kampala, Uganda
that is being organised by the Embassy under its mandate to promote commercial
and economic diplomacy that will have participation of both government officials and
the private sector from Uganda and the United Arab Emirates.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Daniel Wadada, First Secretary, and Ms.
Ashah Nabbanja, Second Secretary at the Embassy.
