Passport

Please follow the steps below to make the on-line passport application.

Step 1. Log onto the passport portal www.passports.go.ug

Step 2. Accept the terms and conditions displayed in the disclaimer and create an account.

Step 3:  Answer the simple security questions.

Step 4: Complete the passport application form.

Step 5: Print the Passport Application Payment Advice Form.

Step 6: Make payment for the selected type of passport using the selected payment method. Either online payments using a visa card or at the counter with the preferred bank in Uganda.

Step 7:  Obtain four (4) passport size photographs on a white background and a photocopy of the National ID of your recommender.

Step 8: Report to the selected passport centre (Uganda Embassy Abu Dhabi) with the passport application form and the appropriate supporting documents for submission (You don't need to schedule an appointment).

Step 9. Pay AED 200 to the Embassy to courier the documents to Uganda.

Step 10. Submit the application to the Embassy.


Note: 

i.) All payments, including erroneous deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

ii.) Applicants who have lost their passports and seek replacement MUST obtain a certificate of lost passport from the U.A.E police.

iii.) The Uganda Embassy Abu Dhabi is currently unable to process express passport applications.

iv.) After submission of duly filled passport applications to the Embassy, the new passports can be expected within one month.
